How to extend your B-2 Visa stay in the U.S.?
If you want to stay longer in the United States, you can apply for a B-2 visa extension that will allow you to stay for an additional 6 months.
It is critical that you apply for this extension 42 days before the I-94 card expires.
The documents that you need to send in order to apply for an extension of the B-2 visa are:
valid passport,
proof of financial support,
completed I-539 form,
original/photocopy of the I-94 card,
a written statement for the reason behind the requested extension and the visa extension fee (which is 370$).
Can I book a Visa Appointment without submitting the DS-160?
You can book an appointment with a U.S. Consulate or Embassy before submitting the DS-160 Form, but without the verification code you will not get your Visa issued when you submit all the required documents in the interview.
Therefore, we suggest you fill the DS-160 Form as soon as possible!
