What is the difference between an Immigrant and Non-Immigrant Visa?
The U.S. visas are available in two categories:
immigrant and nonimmigrant. Foreign nationals who wish to live permanently in the United States for various reasons are provided with immigrant visas. For travel, medical care, business, temporary employment, research, or other similar purposes, nonimmigrant visas are for foreign nationals wanting to enter the United States on a temporary basis.
